The EIB100MRF is an optional add-on RadioLINK module for the EIB160e and EIB2110e series Alarms. The module simply plugs into the designated slot in the base of the Alarm head. The immediate flashing LED indicated that the module has been fitted correctly.

The EIB100MRF module facilitates wireless insterconnection with up to 12 RadioLINK devices. It also facilities a hybrid communication or hardwired and wireless connections.

The EIB100MRF module is a SRD using a TI transceiver device to transmit, receive and repeat the RadioLINK RF protocol. This ensures a robust "mesh" of RF signals and reliable paths of communication.

The house coding feature confines the RF communication to designated RadioLINK devices only, thereby avoiding the inadvertent activation of neighbouring Alarm RF systems.

The Remote Alarm Learn entry feature allows the installer to re-activate the entire RF system house coding from one device. Additional devices can then be added and house coded accordingly.

RF monitoring of the signal paths is facilitated through a "buddy" system. Each device will "buddy up" to at least one other device. If the signal path fails, the "buddy" will transmit a communication lost signal. Information such as alarm events, fault events, test activations and Alarm head removals can now be downloaded using the RadioLINK tool.
